How to set up the product page
- Head to the Shopify admin area and navigate to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Choose Products from the top dropdown and pick your preferred product template (e.g., Default product).
- Click on Product page to edit the product page.
Settings
Choose the layout that suits your style—whether it’s a full-width dazzler or a snug fit-to-width setup. Dive into theme settings and take charge of your media’s fit and ratio.
When it comes to media fit, it’s all about your preference:
- Contain: This keeps the aspect ratio intact, adjusting the image size to fill the section.
- Cover: Maintains that aspect ratio while filling both the width and height of the section.
Your website, your rules! Decide what feels just right for your visuals.
Blocks
A vast array of blocks is at your disposal, ready to elevate functionality and enhance the appeal of your product page. Utilize Custom Liquid, Chart, Border, Text, and Accordion blocks as much as you need—these are your unlimited companions. Keep in mind, that other blocks are limited to one instance each.
How to add a block to your product page
- Navigate to the Shopify admin area and head to Online Store> Themes > Customize.
- Pick Products from the top dropdown and choose your desired product template.
- Click Add block, select from the list or opt for pre-loaded blocks, and start fine-tuning the settings to make it uniquely yours.
Variant selector
You’ve got options for your variant selector on the product page—Buttons or Dropdown.
Opting for Buttons? Customize the button shape to give your style that extra flair.
If you go with Dropdown, the power is in your hands. Choose the width for each dropdown and decide if you want them neatly aligned in one line or gracefully separated.
Buy buttons
Take the reins with the setting options on your product page. Decide whether to showcase those quick checkout options with ‘Show dynamic checkout buttons’ or ‘Show recipient information form for gift card products’ for those special gift card products.
Feel the power as you customize the styles for buttons like ‘Add to Cart,’ ‘Dynamic Checkout,’ or the ‘Pickup Availability’ button. And hey, if it’s a gift card product, checking ‘Show recipient information form for gift card products’ will let you add your personal touch by customizing the recipient form style.
